Here are some simple steps to change into a spare tire:

1. Park in a safe location.

2. Shift your car's gear into the "P" position and engage the parking brake.

3. Retrieve the tire changing tools and the spare tire from your car.

4. Jack up your vehicle by following the instructions on your owner's manual.

5. Remove the lug nuts using the lug nut wrench. (Lug nuts are loosened by turning COUNTERCLOCK wise). You may have to kick the wrench or apply body weight to the wrench in order to loosen the lug nut.

6. Install the spare tire and tighten the lug nuts.

7. Check air pressure on the spare tire. (Most passenger car spare tires require 60 PSI).
